A new website for Doha MUN

What it does, and what we need from you.

Nothing is live yet

Today

The site you have came with the theme

One

It looks like Doha MUN

The top of the new home page.
The new home page.

Two

Every page you need

  • Home
  • About
  • Committees
  • Schedule
  • Delegates
  • Apply
  • Secretariat
  • Venue
  • Resources
  • Contact

Red = new.

Committees lists all eight, with seats and topics. Delegates explains the rules of the floor.

Three

Arabic everywhere

Not just the front page. Every heading, committee, deadline and answer. One tap switches, and you stay on the page you were reading.

The Arabic home page, laid out right to left.
The Arabic side. Everything mirrors, including the numbers.

Five

Tap the venue plan

Tap a space — the hall, the committee rooms, the atrium, the prayer rooms — and it says what happens there. A button opens the venue in your own maps app. No map is embedded in the page.

The venue plan.
Four spaces, each with a note.
The home page on a phone.
All of it works on a phone.

Six

Pre-University Education, credited properly

The official lockup sits in a band of its own near the foot of every page, at full size, with clear space around it and nothing beside it.

What we need from you

Seven things. The first three matter most.

The site is built. What is missing is information only you have — and it currently holds sensible guesses that look like facts.

  1. The real committee list.Ours are placeholders.
  2. The real dates. The site counts down to them.
  3. Email addresses that work.We guessed them.
  4. A yes on the group photo. The delegates in it are students.
  5. Your logo, if you have one.Ours is a proposal.
  6. Social media accounts. The footer links to PUE's.
  7. A decision on fees.We quote none anywhere.

We named no student, chair or secretariat member, and invented no quotes.

Straight with you

Not finished

One bug. The page can slide sideways on a phone. It came from the old theme. Fixed next.

Two things untried by hand. The search keyboard shortcuts, and a real phone.

Everything else is checked — both languages, light and dark, phone size.
